Arrival

Remote key FOB opens both parking entrance gates, needed for enter & exit. Closes automatically.

Parking spaces 163 and 164, with additional guest spaces next to mail boxes.

Take the stairs or elevator to level 2. The big key is needed for many doors, including the elevator in one direction. The front door to Unit 29 is around back, away from the ocean, on the lower level. Make a right turn off the elevator, go to the walkway end and turn left.

Walk in gates have similar keycodes. Enter slowly. # sign, then 4506. If no # sign, press the key symbol twice instead.

Comfort

The guest bedroom and bathroom should have clean sheets and towels. The master bedroom and bathroom may not have fresh sheets and towels. Please do not use the master bedroom or master bathroom, for this is the personal area for Chris and Christina. Please make sure your pets respect the off limits area, by keeping the door closed. You will, of course, need to pass through the master bedroom to access the closet for supplies and cleaning materials.

You may eat, drink, and use any items you find. Don't worry about replenishment. Help yourself to the chips, nuts, beer, wine, and other drinks. Just let Christina know if we run low or out of anything, so we can restock on our next visit. Trash anything that has gone bad. Take home, or trash anything that will perish within one week, so don't leave fruit, milk, open bags of chips, leftovers, veggies. or anything else in cabinets or refrigerator.

TV. Large remote to switch between Firestick TV and DVD. Small firestick remote does everything else.

The ceiling fans are controlled by the remotes in the bedrooms.

Ok to leave sliding glass door unlocked when going to beach, so you won't need any keys. Enter # sign, then 1776 to get back in the outer gate. The condo complex is safe.

Furnace thermostat on wall in hall. Use arrow buttons on right to raise or lower the heater temperature. Buttons along bottom turn the furnace on and off. Fan best at auto setting.

The condo does not have air conditioning. Use the ceiling and floor fans, and leave the doors open if hot. It is safe at night to leave only screen doors closed.

Fireplace is non-wood gas. Do not burn anything in the fireplace other than gas.

Keurig coffee maker has auto off feature, but empty water when done using.

The dehumidifier is on the kitchen counter. Please empty the sparklets bottle water into the sink once during your stay. It can be turned off and moved to the side or onto the floor if it is in your way. It is on a timer to run after midnight for 1 hour each night. It's hose needs to empty into the sink or sparklets bottle, so the humidfier needs to be on the counter if plugged in. Controls are on the top. The left most button is on/off, and the arrow buttons control the desired humidity. The target humidity is 45. When the arrows are pressed, it displays the desired humidity for several seconds, then switches back to current humidity. It vibrates and is on wheels, so be sure to put it on the mat to prevent it from rolling off the counter.

Laundry soap in guest bathroom cabinet. Spare towels, sheets, brooms, vacuum, toilet paper, cleaning supplies etc. in master bathroom closet. Trash bags in cabinet to left of kitchen sink. Batteries in Kitchen drawer. Toilet brush, plunger, cleaners under sinks and in bathroom cabinets. Circuit breakers in hall, behind picture. Many wall sockets have GFIC circuit breakers, and many are wired in series. If electrical problems, check the breakers.

Small key for front & back door locks. Large key for elevator, garage, trash rooms, spa. Spare keys are on the octopus keyrack and by the back door. Please return your keys to Christina when your stay is over, so other's may use them. We lock all doors when away for more than an hour. We latch lock the screen doors at night, leaving the solid doors open for fresh air. We lock the front door, and leave the sliding door unlocked to enjoy the beach or spas without having keys with us.

Beach chairs and other beach stuff in outside closet, next to umbrella table. Extra beach chairs in master bedroom closet.

Information

Bug zappers are turned off between visits, so turn on upon arrival if desired. Timers control cycles when in use.

Two Cameras are in the home. One to watch the sunset, and the other focused on the floor next to trash can to watch the dogs when we are out.

Spas

Two spas are available. Need key for spa gates. No breakables or glass or pets allowed inside spa areas. Alcohol and food ok in spa areas, and lounge chairs are there to enjoy watching the beach. Hose off feet before entering spa. Neighbors watch for this, so make feet hosing obvious. Spas technically off limits after 10 pm, but later not usually a problem if you're quiet. Replace spa cover bubble side down.

HOA Rules

Pets not allowed on grass. Pick up all BM.
Alcohol and pets not allowed on beach sand.
Complex quiet hours 10 pm to 7 am.
No smoking in common areas or inside home.
No towels, stuff allowed left outside on patio overnight.

Leaving protocol

Launder all used sheets and towels. To use washer or dryer, press power on, press start/pause button. If needed, press start/pause button again, make adjustments to timer or temperature, then press start/pause button again.Bathe the night before leaving, so you can start towels in laundry the evening before departure. Don't wait until you are ready to leave, then start laundry, for it may take many hours to complete. The machines are smaller than the regular ones you may be used to. Two loads of five towels dry faster than one load of ten towels. Wash all bath and kitchen towels, sheets and pillow cases used. Bedspreads and blankets only need washing if soiled. Replace clean towels in bathrooms and kitchen. Be sure to clean lent screen between dryer loads. Leave home ready for next guest.

Remake beds with clean linens. No need to wash bed spreads and blankets, unless they are dirty.

The towel and sheet wash and dry may take a long time, so try to start this process early, allowing time for the other cleaning activities between loads.

The washer and dryer are smaller than conventional units, so be sure not to overload machines.
Wash dishes, run dishwasher. Be sure to unload after wash and dry completed.
